BOOSTERS

Currently the LA Band Boosters have four officers. These officers are President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The officers are elected in an open meeting where nominations are taken from the floor. The duties of each position are standard for the office. Committee Chairs are choosen by the President.

LA BAND SECTION PARENTS

With the current growth of the band, we are trying something new this year, “Section Parents.” As the band performs at away games, events, and competitions, the student needs increase. Our students need assistance in many different areas from inventory to be a runner. To assist the students, we are hoping to have “Section Parents” designated to each area of the band that can assist that specific section. The sections are Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Drill, and PIT. The PIT CREW will be the Section Parents for the PIT PERCUSSION. We would like to have at least two volunteers for each section. If you would like to volunteer as a Section Parent, please contact Lori Beu. No special knowledge or experience needed. You just need a giving heart.

LA BAND CONCESSIONS STAND

The Band Boosters largest and most consistent fund raising activity is the Concession Stand at the LA Football games. The concessions take much coordination and require many volunteers to run on a weekly basis. This year Lisa Gore is taking over the reins from Lori Thomas. If you would like to help in the concessions, please contact Lisa Gore. She will need help with cooking hamburgers, popping popcorn, making nacho salads, serving at the window, setup, take done, etc. Our goal is to fill all the position other than setup and cleanup with people that do not have students that are seniors. This will allow them to see ALL the performances. Please see Lisa Gore and help her in this area. Even if you have not spoken to her, just show up. There is always room to help.
